Ronaldinho fans with masks and red and black shirt with the number 10 filled the club's training headquarters in Rio de Janeiro to see the attacker.
Samba groups led the party to Ronaldinho, who greeted the fans and thanked them for support.
"The reward will be on the soccer field, " said Ronaldinho.
The fans broke through a gate to enter the facility and see Ronaldinho.
The former star of the Brazilian team and spanish FC Barcelona was transferred from AC Milan on Monday ending a 10-year career in European football.
