Roy Halladay waited 13 years to debut in the postseason and did it masterfully. The right of the Phillies pitched a no-hitter and drove to Philadelphia to win 4-0 over the Cincinnati Reds in the opening of the National League playoffs.
This was the first no-hitter in the postseason since 1956. Halladay (1-0) struck out eight batters and only transferred one, outfielder Jay Bruce, a work of 104 pitches, 79 strikes.
